| Bio: | Right, where should I start... My name is Ilse and I'm 21 years old. I live in Holland where I study geology at the VU (Free University) in Amsterdam. I'm now in my 3rd year, and I've almost finished my bachelor's. After that I intend to do a master's in (paleo)climatology and maybe research after that. But that's still far, far away ;) I would like to move to another country when I finish studying, Canada, Scandinavia and the UK are on the top of my list but for now I guess I'll have to put up with Holland. I still live at home with my parents and my brother who is 2 years younger than me and definitely knows how to be a pain in the butt. In my spare time I work at a gas station behind the counter and I have to keep an eye out on the car wash and refill the candy in the shop and all sorts of stuff like that. it's not the best job ever, but it's better than nothing. When I'm not studying or working I like to sit behind my computer chatting and listening to music. I like a lot of different kinds of music from pop/rock to metal, gothic, folk, classical etc etc. My favorite bands are Live, Garbage, Mathcbox 20, Jeff Buckley, Lamb, Depeche Mode, Dead Can Dance, Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Avantasia, After Forever, Diorama, Iris, Rotersand, The Endparty, Wolfsheim, The Crüxshadows, De/vision, Rapalje, Omnia, Faun and I could go on and on like this for ages but I don't want to bore you to death so I'd better stop now. I also like watching movies. Costume movies are definitely my favorite (Swept From The Sea, Wuthering Heights, Little Women, Sense And Sensibility, Emma, The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall, North & South etc) but I also really like fantasy movies (LOTR, labyrinth, The Dark Crystal) and romantic comedies (Pretty Woman, You've Got Mail, While You Were Sleeping, Green Card). I'm not into sports very much, but every once in a while I like to go mountainbiking (there's a shortage of mountains here in Holland :s)or inline skating. And of course being the fantasyfreak that I am I play Dungeons and Dragons (2nd or 3rd edition) and LARP and I also like playing rpg's on my computer.
